Those who were waiting to score all those enormous unhurried the scenes stuff available previously on “tarzan 2 disc collector’s edition” will be thoroughly disappointed with this release.

Do not remove this unless you objective want to fill the film. Better mild search for the weak collector’s edition. It will be worth all the money spent.
The movie is stout, I like it at home as mighty as I did in the theater, BUT…There appears to be a glitch with the sound. The front left and rear accurate audio channel is SWITCHED. Disney is aware of this jam (on 1.5 million disks) and isn’t doing ANYTHING about it!

Tom Brown’s School Days is one of my approved movies. I first saw it on local TV many years ago and was captivated by this classic coming of age narrative.
Tom Brown is sent to a private school in order to set aside it from closing. The Dean of the school (Sir Cedric Hardwicke) sees Tom’s success as the success of the school. Tom becomes a man but finds that the road to manhood is beset with abominable choices. The ending is absorbing and will do a lump in your throat.
If Harry Potter is a novel day Oliver Twist then Tom Brown is the link between them. In fact, there are many parallels between this film and “Potter.” Both feature British boys becoming men at private schools, fighting off bullies and dreadful guys and bonding with lovabale characters. Tom can’t gain magic but he has spacious courage and lots of heart.

Based upon correct persons and the apt experiences of the author. An consuming myth of life at a boy’s boarding school in England in the early 1830’s. Shows the many adventures of unusual student Tom Brown with only a few minutes in the classroom. The precise life headmaster of the school, Dr. Thomas Arnold, and his challenge to motivate the boys; “if they wish to govern others, they must first learn to govern themselves.” A very racy yarn of friendship, with humor, adventure, and clever boyhood mischief. The bully, the Flashman, is well played, as are the many charming supporting characters.
The 1973 version is honorable, but lacks the mammoth charm and challenging race of this 1940 version. However, the 1973 version has an almost completely different story; so if you have seen one; you can contemplate the other without repeating yourself.

There is either a sequel or this copy left slice share of the memoir. I saw other scenes on television with the same actors. This version had at least one sentence crop. Amazon should set aside the sequel or the bulky length on DVD, and restore it (not remaster, not lighten and wash out) . There is also a different 1951 version.
The 1951 version has no humor. It is not half as capable as the 1940 version, but the sage is different, holds your interest, and is worthwhile; though actor Robert Newton playing the doctor peaceful looks like the pirate Long John Silver to me in the 1951 version.

Synopsis:
Ladyhawke follows Phillipe Gaston (Matthew Broderick), a petty thief in Medieval Europe known as “the Mouse.” Soon after run the dungeons of Aquila and the hangman’s noose, he accidentally becomes entwined with the quest a pair of star-crossed lovers Attiene Navarre and Lady Isabeau (Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfiefer) to rupture themselves of a curse achieve on them by the scandalous and unpleasant bishop of Aquila (John Wood) .
About the Movie

Ladyhawke stands as one of my common movies. I tend to go towards fantasy as a matter of course, but this movie has strong ‘chick-flick’ elements in it.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Ladyhawke! Click Here
But I don’t care. Matthew Broderick is delicious and a miniature funny as ‘the Mouse,’ showing in this film, exactly why he’s endured as an actor for all these years. Rutger Hauer, an actor I’ve always liked, did a colossal job as well. His portrayal of the cursed and grieving Navarre is believable in its intensity. And of course, Michelle Pfiefer, while not a scene stealer, certainly is nice to peek.
The tale itself is the classic record of star-crossed lovers (fair down to the enchantment that keeps them apart), but unlike Shakespeare’s classic play, the lovers score to have each other in the waste. This is a correct legend fantasy, with a edifying many recent elements.
The first thing most people mention when they sight this movie is that the musical obtain is out of dwelling. I have to admit that that analysis is lawful on. The musical scoring for this movie was done by 80’s band “The Alan Parsons Project.” While generally, I have liked their music, the disco-pop electronica that runs through a marvelous part of the movie and many of the action scenes is out of space and poorly chosen. In 1985, this was cutting edge stuff, but now nearly 20 years later, it is hopelessly dated and out of site for a pure medieval fantasy film. Fantasy movies should have a fantasy catch.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Ladyhawke! Click Here
It would be astounding if a director’s gash were released with a revamped musical obtain. Such a project would turn what is at this point a very pleasing movie (with hokey music) into a stronger and better lasting film.
But for all the downsides of the musical get, it’s the anecdote itself that steals the reveal. There’s something gorgeous and heartwarming about it and its characters. As a result, they acquire your attention easily and through them, the sizable finale truly manages to obtain the viewer grin with satisfaction.
About the DVD:
This DVD release of Ladyhawke is nothing special as far as DVD releases go. It comes on a double sided DVD in both Letterbox and Fullscreen versions in a cardboard snap case. The movie is translated into French and Spanish, and comes with English, French, and Spanish subtitles. There are a few bonus features as well, but all of the textual variety. More on that below.
The video quality of this DVD is not worthy better than you’d come by on a video cassette; something that’s somewhat disappointing given the DVD format’s high capacity for quality images. The heavy film grain that showed up in some scenes is not something I like to peek on DVD. It’s a valid shame, because the lack of quality really shows on a high resolution screens. Likewise, the sound is about average as well.
This DVD does have a few bonus features that advance in the format of a few screens of trivia about the making of the film and various aspects of the cast and production. All are challenging reading but aren’t anything more than keen trivia. The only true video fragment of the bonus features is the orginal theatrical trailer for the movie.
Bottom line here is that this is a mediocre DVD release. The abominable film transfer really is noticable on high-res screens, and there really isn’t distinguished in terms of extra features and material. I give it 4 stars. A magnificent movie that worth seeing, on a mediocre and disappointing DVD release.
I am not a treasure movie critic, but I know what I like and I like this movie. There are very few movies that leave a lasting impression on me, and Ladyhawke is definitely one of them. The yarn, music (no, it is NOT disco-medieval) and acting is haunting, comic, romantic and hopeful. This was the first time I ever saw Michelle Pfiffer and I remember thinking how glowing and perfectly helpful she was for this share. Rutger Hauer is absolutely dashing as a knight in murky and they get a perfect pair. Matthew Broderick provides a amazing balance of humor and serve for the 2 cursed lovers. I have loved this movie for 15 years and it peaceful remains one of my favorites. The region and scenery is absolutely pleasing. Like I said, I’m not some treasure movie critic, looking at every aspect of a film. But, I can say this: It was one of the best films achieve out in the 80s and I smooth recommend it to friends when the topic of passe movies comes up. If you’re a romantic at heart, you’ll esteem this movie, I promise.

Like all of Funimations original Dragonball Z releases, this one promises to display DBZ in upright remastered earn. The present has never really looked better, and for you PS3 or Blu-Ray player owners, this one is available in blu-ray as well. Now, unlike Funimations current DBZ movie releases, this holds three movies, instead of the usual double feature. The first two are the strongest point of this collection, with the third being there mainly for comical relief, but nevertheless I recommend this product, especially for the label.
Funimation is unexcited releasing the DBZ movies in their current remastered steelbook format. Some fans may be disappointed if they bought the Broly features when they came out in the Blu-Ray pack recently, but for those who haven’t purchased them yet, or only have the ragged regular DVD versions from a few years ago and want to upgrade, this is the plot to do it.

This is probably the main reason for fans to win this and is definitely the best of the three seen here, and some would argue the best out of all thirteen movies. It’s storyline begins device support when Goku was a crying baby Kakarot on the planet Vegeta and introduces another baby Saiyin, Broly, who didn’t care distinguished for his cries. Then the myth picks up again years later when another surviving Saiyan, Paragus, interrupts the Z-Fighter’s picnic by dropping by in a gigantic dwelling ship. He has advance to invite Goku and Vegeta to the recent planet Vegeta and most of the other Z-Fighter’s and sidekicks go along. While on the planet they meet Paragus’ son Broly and are told of the Legendary Well-kept Saiyan and that one is unexcited causing disaster in the universe. Vegeta deals with his gain issues of learning of a more noteworthy spruce saiyan than he and there is some suited character moments for him. Goku deals with trying to track down the supposed Legendary Dapper Saiyin with his instant transmission. In the kill after the character’s investigate some mysteries it obviously turns out that Broly is the Legendary Well-kept Saiyin and a revenge residence is revealed. Broly transforms again and goes on a greater rampage than ever before against Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Piccolo and for the first time in a DBZ movie Tidy Saiyan Gohan. It has some really grand fight scenes and action. It has another ending where everyone feeds their energy to Goku as the planet is falling apart around them, but the key here is that Vegeta’s broken pride of being defeated may derive in the diagram of him giving Goku the energy he needs to defeat Broly. Gargantuan movie, 5 stars.
BROLY: SECOND COMING
This legend feels more like a Dragon Ball space with a DBZ villain who fair happens to be in it. Goten, Trunks and Videl have some amusing moments in the Dragon Ball style location up of them looking for the seven magic balls only to kill up trying to solve the problems a village is having with it’s wrathful god. This gets interrupted when Broly arrives on the scene and in a rage (which he always seems to be in) goes after Goten believing him to be Goku. The two young boys comically try to fight against the villain who was so imposing in his first appearance in movie 8, and Gohan shows up to relieve while there is a humorous cameo of Krillin showing up to assign Gohan dressed as Piccolo. However, everything that happens in this movie is leading to the final showdown where by serendipity Goku breifly rejoins his two sons and with Trunks back they send Broly into the sun. I like this movie, it’s unbiased a different style from the rest. Of the various movies throughout the thirteen that tryed something a shrimp different this one is more absorbing to me than say Bio-Broly or even Fusion Reborn. Valid movie, 3 or 4 stars depending.
BIO-BROLY
When a millionare and the priest from the village the boys saved in the last feature team up to engineer bio-fighters on their secluded island labratory they invite Mr. Satan, the world champ, to fight them and test their strength. When Goten, Trunks and Android 18 join along they soon realize the last and most mighty Bio-Fighter is a clone of Broly. DBZ is known for gargantuan science fiction elements but this isn’t pulled off too well considering. Trunks and Goten essentially advise the last movie only instead of fighting the proper Broly they fight a clone who ends up turning into green goo that soon overtakes the island destroying it. The fable in this one wasn’t fleshed out or focused enough on for me, it’s very mighty tossed aside to allow more scenes of the boys being comic and fighting Broly, or what’s left of him. Unexcited anything DBZ is titillating for fans so 3 stars for them, but I wouldn’t recommend this one on it’s bear to anyone else.
Luckily I don’t have to recommend it on it’s beget because it’s in this packaged dwelling with the two other aesthetic movies and being offered at a distinguished more affordable brand than these features aged to be. The cases are nice and line up well on a shelf with complimentary artwork and kindly storage for your considerable discs. The cases are the size of a regular single DVD case, but heavier on fable of the steelbook, and beget a DVD on the inside of each screen, this one I’ll win will have a middle folding holder attached at the spine to allow for the third disc. That is unless they effect two features or more one one disc because of the similar themed villain in this plot, but they haven’t bothered with that before.
All in all a tall DBZ movie with two more spicy ones included all at a enormous sign and with nice packaging. All this leaves now is movies 12 and 13, Fusion Reborn, and another fan approved, Wrath Of The Dragon. They will probably be coming out before summer coinciding perfectly with the ninth and final DBZ series boxed spot, containing the remaining Fusion and Kid Buu sagas. It will be a dark day rewatching the ending of such an iconic anime again, but we peaceful have a puny time before that comes. Thanks for your time.

As I’ve mentioned in the Teacher’s Edition, this is the far better deal out there (seriously, what teacher can pay 500+ dollars for ONE indicate? Is PBS really that unaware of most teachers’ ridiculously obscene salaries? I don’t know . . . maybe they ask “the school” to engage it for their library or something — but which school would pay that considerable cash for a six-disc DVD position? )
So . . . on with my review of the series:

I’ve loved this explain since I first saw it aid in early 2003. During AP US History, this explain actually helped incite curiosity and concept for the complex period that is the American Revolution. It’s also the series that made me consuming into looking into American History deeper, and reading up on the finer details of America’s birth.
The timeline, which features events from the Boston Massacre to the ratification for the US Constitution, is actually quite suitable — they merely paint into the yarn the fictional characters of James (the teenage American-patriot), Sarah (the unsure British-loyalist), and Henri (the younger French-sidekick) alongside the historical Founding Fathers.
First airing on PBS, the 40 half-hour episodes are actually quite conclude to being a half-hour long each (with no commercials originally intended, we catch to savor more epic, as well as fun trivia breaks in between the main myth, hosted by James, Sarah, Henri, and even Dr. Franklin) .
Among other things to like are the theme song, “Through My Have Eyes,” as well as the wide range of direct actors (the cast ranges from Walter Cronkite as Ben Franklin to Billy Crystal as John Adams, with Governor Schwartzenegger, Whoopi Goldberg, Aaron Carter and many more familar voices from Hollywood) .
So, yes be distinct to acquire this series, you won’t be dissapointed — it’s wonderfully incandescent, historically true, and expansive fun for the whole family and you’ll be surprised to actually learn loads from it . . . again, unprejudiced be distinct to order THIS one — the one with the better designate.
As a Homeschooling mom this is been a dream advance right. It provides the informations in a fun fact filled design that kids really understand what our founding fathers and our people went through to become the United States of America.
I would recommend it for kids ages 4-101! I savor watching it too.
To come by the complete series in one space is sizable because watching the individual episodes online at KEWL cartoons is hard because they only offer 5 at a time and generally out of order.
We believe a few of the DVD’s which were hard to secure and we perceive them over and over. So, I’m really thrilled to secure the complete status all at once and I’ll exhaust it in my lesson plans for our Homeschool co-op too.
I know no one who buys this will be disapointed except if your a History Major or professor and you’d only be disapointed that it didn’t last longer into the Civil War and the War of 1812.
Maybe they’ll carry on at a later date.
My 2 cents thanks for the read.

Die Fälscher (The Counterfeiters) deserves its Oscar as the Best Foreign Film of 2007. Based on a correct epic and singed with horrifying details of the Nazi treatment of ‘detainees’ (primarily Jews) during WW II, the inner account of this film is one of resilience and survival against reach impossible odds and how one man turned his criminal gifts into a system so impressive that he served as a ‘provider’ of funds to the financially depleted Third Reich war distress. The tale is in itself spicy enough to maintain our interest for the duration of the film, but it is the incredibly ingenious and wily character of Salomon ‘Sally’ Sorowitsch that burns a situation in our minds of how one man survived the concentration camps and in his have device helped fellow Jews to likewise survive the Holocaust.

Salomon ‘Sally’ Sorowitsch (Karl Markovics) is a colorful counterfeiter, a Russian Jew so gifted in his ability to forge documents such as passports that he is able to live the ‘good life’ – money, women, gambling, etc. – until he is arrested by the Nazis and placed in a detention camp Sachsenhausen north of Berlin. His facile mind sees his possible extermination and leads him to get a deal with the Nazis to spare his life (and the lives of his elected doomed accomplices) in return for making false money (British pounds) so desperately needed to maintain the coffers of the dwindling Nazi resources. He and his confreres are afforded comfortable living place, suitable foods, and other amenities in a special sector of the concentration camp, a location where they can employ their time turning out volumes of money for the Nazis. In this draw many of these ’selected’ men manage to halt alive until the war is over, but the ‘hero’ character of Sally Sorowitsch remains an enigma of sorts: his cunning ideas are basically self centered and his focus remains on his absorb survival and ultimate gratification of yet another successful fraudulent business. In other words, his epic leaves a feeling of uneasiness with the viewer – is this a survivor to fancy or is this a ‘player’ whose sense of compassion is marred by his beget selfish goals? The viewer is left to settle.
Though Karl Markovics is very strong in the leading role, the supporting cast of some of Germany’s finest actors brings a depth of humanity and perception to the major suppose the film addresses – both death and survival in the onerous concentration camps of the Nazis. Director/screenwriter Stefan Ruzowitzky deserves kudos for the manner in which he shows both sides of the seminal spot. His cinematographer Benedict Neuenfels manages to hold the lurid light of the confined men and makes the intolerable almost tolerable to watch: the haunting musical fetch by Marius Ruhland completes the atmosphere. This is a remarkable movie on every level, but it is a very disturbing film in many ways. It will execute the viewer mediate – and that is most definitely a strong point of this film. In German with English subtitles. Grady Harp, August 08
The Original Germany and Austria by extension have been in the process, these past several years, of divesting themselves of National Guilt in regards to the atrocities of World War 2: “Sophie Scholl,” “Downfall” and also the genuine “Lives of Others” (though place in post WWII East Berlin, it reeks of submission and totalitarianism) squawk to the redemptive qualities of confession and penance.

And now we have “The Counterfeiters,” the memoir of Solomon Sorowitsch (Karl Markovics), a Russian-born Jew who spends his life forging documents thereby attaining the reputation of a master counterfeiter. Ultimately he is arrested and sent to a Camp at which he is given the assignment of forging the British Pound designate for The Third Reich. This is 1945 and the disastrous German War pain is in dire need of cash to carry on its war wretchedness.
“Counterfeiters” is all about survival and to what means we, as human beings will do to comply in order to live: anything shapely distinguished sums it up and anything fine mighty is the reality of our collective desire to live despite the cicumstances.
Director Stefan Ruzowitzky is walking a slippery slope here as the counterfeiting was done in the Nazi concentration camp at Sachsenhausen and the technicians fervent were almost all Jews, “The Counterfeiters” raises some keen right dilemmas.
Also, the Sorowitsch of Markovics is no paragon of honor. Instead he is a squirrelly, only thinking for himself, con man. He’s tickled to do what the Nazi’s ask of him in order to secure the perks of his “exalted plot” in Sachsenhausen: dapper clothes, suited food, soft bedding, and weekly hot showers. “The Counterfeiters” begins with a post war sequence of Sorowitsch spending thousands of unfounded British Pounds in Monte Carlo: gambling, grooming himself, dining, dating…basically enjoying the fruits of his labors and those of his fellow counterfeiters.
Sorowitsch is one who feels that: “Only by surviving can we defeat them.”
“The Counterfeiters” is a difficult film to like but ultimately it speaks to something in all of us: the drive, the desperate need to survive despite the circumstances in which we might win ourselves. Sorowitsch is flawed, a defective fraction of work actually but he’s lustrous, crafty and grudgingly and ultimately deserving of our respect.

Moreover, we will again foray into the off-centered and the macabre fantasies as the Hammer Productions-like “The Night of the Sedgewick Curse” dealing with the theme of the fountain of youth, the tribute to the classic “The Phantom of the Opera” in “The Night of the Diva” (Robert Conrad even sings “Buffalo Gals” with his friends Richard Cangey and Red West) and a veiled reference to Conan Doyle’s “The Hound of the Baskervilles” in “The Night of the Bleak Island”, and two Jules Verne-oriented ones in “The Night of the Kraken” (which highlights a Captain Nemo type of character) and “The Night of the Winged Apprehension, Fragment I & II” (describing a secret organization of subversive indignant scientists ruled by a hypercephalic mastermind) .

Well here we are, the final adventures of James T West and Artemus Gordon. Hard to enjoy the series only ran 4 years. Growing up in Current York, the reruns ran aplenty during the 70s. Sadly though, series co-star Ross Martin didn’t catch to devour the whole season as he was side lined by a heart attack. Replacing him was a young Charles Aidman as Jeremy Pike who was as qualified at his trade as Arte (you bag the impression he learned from the master himself) and others including Alan (the Skipper) Hale, John Dehner and William Schallert (Carson Drew, Nils Baris, Martin Lane) in a 2 fraction episode. Their names got billed in the ending credits in the episodes they appeared in though Martin continued to appear in the opening credits for the remainder of the race. Martin would recover to be able to do the sequel films made in 1979 and 1980, Wild Wild West Revisited and More Wild Wild West which according to http://www.tvshowsondvd.com will sadly not be included in this status. Fortunately, they are shown often enough on Encore Westerns so you can copy them yourself uncut (the prerecorded VHS tapes I hold are copy protected) . Martin passed away soon after making the sequel films, but I am definite if we looked up him up on the IMDB we would get a lot of agreeable stuff under his name including a villain on Wonder Woman in 1977, and an attempt to bring Charlie Chan wait on unprejudiced before or after More Wild Wild West. So accept this last season, and delight in 4 years of one of the shortest yet celebrated Western series of the 1960s.

I,ve waited for so long and it’s finally here! The first volume of Minute Toon Adventures on DVD! I remember Itsy-bitsy Toon Adventures from my childhood assist when I was a young lass. In case you are odd, Miniature Toons is about a second generation of young Toons who are kid-like versions of Looney Tunes. They help a school called Acme Looneversity where the current Looney Tune characters are teachers. They speak Buster, Babs and the other Runt Toons on how to become the 2nd generation of Toons and they gain a diploma of Lunacy when they graduate. If they’re not at school, the young toons are out having adventures that are often parodies of celebrated movies, TV shows, humorous books, etc. Dinky Toons like 90s cartoons and many other classics have just humor and absolutley none of the immoral toilet humor and idiocy that’s in the atrocious cartoons of today. Thanks to this and other DVDs, we can now have the classics with us forever. The humor in Itsy-bitsy Toons is witty and often has parodies of favorite TV shows and movies. This is one classic you may want to fraction with your family.
Tiny Toon Adventures began production when Warner Bros. reinstated its animation studio in 1980. It debuted in 1990 on Fox Kids and ended production in 1995. A major precedent was the success of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Cramped Toon Adventures is a witty expose that often contained political and entertainment satire. Caricature versions of celebrities made frequent appearances, though were almost always voiced by imitators, and often appeared under parody names. Limited Toon Adventures is a series that kids, teens and adults of all ages can delight in.
This is defintely a recommendation for all DVD libraries.
